By Donna TunneyRegent Seven Seas Cruises reported a 2.5% decrease in net income for 2011, earning $11.5 million, down from $11.8 million the previous year.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was $96.7 million on revenue of $485.9 million in 2011, compared with $105.2 million EBITDA on revenue of $449.2 million in 2010.
The three-ship line owned by Prestige Cruise Holdings said net yields rose 4% for the year, driven by higher occupancy and higher net per diem.
Fuel expense increased 25.9%, or $8.4 million.
