Carnival to send the Miracle west and the Splendor east

A View Comments Home Topics Cruise By Donna TunneyCarnival Cruise Lines in spring 2013 will reposition the Carnival Miracle to the West Coast and deploy the Carnival Splendor in New York.

The 2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle will shift to the West Coast to operate the line’s Alaska and Hawaii cruises, currently offered on the Carnival Spirit, which is being repositioned to Australia to operate the line’s first cruises from that country.

The Miracle will operate a seasonal Mexican Riviera program featuring the seven-day itinerary currently available on Carnival Splendor.

It also will offer a 15-day Panama Canal cruise from New York to Long Beach, Calif., from March 16 to 31, positioning the vessel for its year-round West Coast deployment.

The Miracle will reposition from Long Beach to Seattle and begin a series of seven-day southern Alaska cruises.

The 3,006-passenger Splendor will reposition to New York to assume Carnival Miracle’s year-round Caribbean schedule, beginning in March 2013.

Before arriving in New York, the Splendor will offer three 13- to 18-day South America voyages from February to March.

Beginning March 23, the Splendor will launch a year-round schedule of eight-day Caribbean cruises on three itineraries. There will also be one seven-day Bermuda cruise departing April 16.
