Hansjoerg to head up sustainability at Costa

Costa Crociere has appointed Hansjoerg Kunz as vice president communication and sustainability of Costa Crociere, which includes the Costa Crociere, Aida and Iberocruceros brands.

Kunze will take over responsibility from Mina Piccinini, who after a successful career with the company has decided to leave due to personal commitments.

Bringing nine years of cruise industry experience to his new role, he is currently vice president public relations and communication at AIDA Cruises, the leading cruise company operating in Germany.

In his new role Hansjeoerg will report directly to Michael Thamm, chief executive of Costa Crociere.

This appointment reflects the company’s new strategy to promote closer cooperation between the different brands of the Costa Group.
